Brazil Nuts are the seeds of an enormous evergreen tree (Bertholletia excelsa) which grows in the western Amazonian rainforest (between Brazil, Bolivia, Peru).

 

Brazil Nuts are a big source of selenium which is a powerful antioxidant and they have the highest fat content between nuts. They’re very rich in omega-3 fatty acid content and a good source of protein, minerals (calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium and zinc), vitamin B1 (also known as thiamine), vitamin B3 (also known as niacin), antioxidant vitamin E.

 

Brazil Nuts are widely consumed as a snack, eaten raw or roasted, and/or salted. They are also used as an ingredient in ice creams, chocolates, and other products within the bakery and confectionary industry.
